Hey gang, here's one of the most recent stories from about Tianeptine. Anyone here have any experience with this compound in any of it's form (Sodium, Sulfate, etc.)?

Tianeptine is a great nootropic but there are horrid stories about addiction to this substance. Beware of this one it is STRONGLY addictive if used in higher dosages. It actually has opiate effects above >60mg. The abuse potential of tianeptine is moderate to high and the short half-life makes it even more dangerous. Most nootropic users are responsible however the small group of abusers might ruin it for all. Just be careful with this stuff.

Peak is right, there are DOZENS of clinical studies of the abuse potential of tianeptine. Not only that, but if you're already prone to addiction it can increase your propensity towards those types of behavior.

In a lot of cases you can't read the full articles, but you can usually get a lot of information, including the general findings of the study, in the abstract and often if you bring a laptop to a university or public library they have access to the full text that you can read directly or download in pdf form.
